A confused Joe Biden

Ukraine’s War with Russia has exposed American hypocrisy. America does not need a President like Joe Biden!

Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln is a revered figure in American history. In 1861 he became the 16th President of the United States of America.

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the USA. In 1848, Lincoln said that any people anywhere have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government.
Abraham Lincoln

In 1848 Lincoln delivered a powerful speech in which he said:

“Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, -a most sacred right- a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.

Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government, may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people that can. may revolutionize, and make their own, of so much of territory as they inhabit.”

Declaration of Independence

Furthermore, referring to the right to safety and happiness, the Declaration of Independence stated:

“Whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to abolish and to institute a new government.”

Donbas

After many years of abuse from the Ukrainian government. the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic simultaneously declared independence. Donetsk and Luhansk are majority ethnic Russian, and these areas are in Eastern Ukraine in the area known as the Donbas.

Donetsk and Luhansk

Ethnic Russians under attack

Ukraine has a rabid hatred of ethnic Russians. The Ukrainian government, backed up by neo-Nazis such as Azov Battalion, did their best to force out ethnic Russians from Donbas.

Neo-Nazi Azoz Battalion, funded and supplied by the Ukrainian government

Many supporters of Ukraine say that talk of ‘neo-Nazis’ and ‘ultra nationalists’ is complete nonsense. However, before hostilities began, mainstream media outlets reported the truth about Ukraine.

Before the Ukraine crisis, the mainstream media reported the truth. They stated that Ukraine was the most corrupt nation in Europe and that it had a neo-Nazi problem

Harassment and beatings became commonplace. The ethnic Russians were told to stop speaking Russian and to stop teaching the Russian language in schools. The message was clear: `If you want to remain living in Ukraine, then give up your language and ethnic culture; otherwise, get out of Ukraine!

It’s not an exaggeration to say that many in the Ukrainian government consider the ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine to be undesirable vermin.

After a reported fourteen thousand death toll at the hands of Ukrainians, it was time to follow the words of Abraham Lincoln, and so, in 2014, Donetsk and Luhansk rose up and declared themselves to be independent of their Ukrainian oppressors.

Annexation from Ukraine

Donetsk became the Donetsk People’s Republic, and in 2022, 99.23% of Donetsk voters supported annexation from Ukraine.

Luhansk became the Luhansk People’s Republic, and in 2022, 98.42% of Luhansk voters supported annexation from Ukraine.

However, Ukraine refused to accept these annexations, so the war with Russia began.

The USA is hypocritical about this war because it has ignored the wise words of not only its hero, Abraham Lincoln, but also its Declaration of Independence.

American Hypocrisy

Additionally, America fought an eight-year war with Britain to achieve its independence. However, they now don’t want others to get their own independence.

Furthermore, the Republic of Texas declared its independence from Mexico in 1836. A year later, the Republic of Texas became part of the United States.

So, if Donetsk and Luhansk declare their independence from Ukraine and wish to be part of the Russian Federation, I don’t expect America to give billions of dollars and weapons to a country that wants to stop democracy and freedom.

Another reason why America is guilty of hypocrisy is because it says its support for Ukraine represents support for democracy. However, Ukrainian President Zelensky said there would be no democratic elections unless he won the war!

There is little doubt that America is fighting a proxy war against Russia, and I think it’s because of Russophobia.

Russophobia

Anti-Russian sentiment, commonly called Russophobia, is a dislike, fear, or hatred of Russia, the Russians, Russian culture, or Russian policy. The Collins English Dictionary defines it as intense and often irrational hatred of Russia.
